Hi, I’m Lauren! My love for dogs began 30 years ago, when my family adopted a chocolate Lab who lived a long, full life. Since then, I’ve shared my home with several wonderful dogs of all different breeds.
Dear Dexter Pet Sitting was inspired in 2025 by the loss of my Norwich Terrier mix, Dexter, a dog I had an incredibly special bond with. Losing him to kidney disease was heartbreaking, but it also made me realize how deeply I value the connection we share with our pets.
Not long after, I began pet sitting for dogs and cats in my neighborhood and quickly discovered how much I genuinely enjoy caring for other people’s pets—keeping them comfortable, happy, and understood. What started as a few visits turned into something meaningful, and Dear Dexter Pet Sitting was born as a love letter to Dexter, whose presence I wanted to carry forward.
As the business has grown, Dear Dexter Pet Sitting has expanded to include a small, trusted team who share the same values and approach to care. Each team member is personally trained to provide the same level of attention, reliability, and compassion that I would give to my own pets.
Today, we treat every animal in our care as if they were our own. Their safety, comfort, and joy always come first, and we feel honored to give pet parents peace of mind while they’re away.
